Nepal has always been known as a popular mountain biking destination, as its varied terrain offers bikers some of the most challenging, picturesque and scenic routes. The festival of Bala Chaturdashi is a celebration in Nepal that is held at Pashupatinath Temple near Kathmandu every year in late November or early December. Hindu pilgrims from all over Nepal as well as India gather at Pashupatinath temple, which is considered to be the most sacred temple of Shiva (Pashupati), in Nepal. An all night vigil by the light of small wick lamps marks the beginning of Bala Chaturdashi.

The folk instrumental ensemble from Nepal, Kutumba, aims to blend traditional folk tunes and musical instruments with new improvised sounds and ideas. It is fitting that they have chosen to name their group of seven musicians Kutumba, as this is a word that has special meaning in the Nepali language reflecting a unique and strong bond between members of a community, something which can be enhanced by the power of music.

The historically and culturally rich district of Dolakha is situated in the Janakpur Zone of Nepal. The district covers a land area of approximately 2,100 square kilometers of mountainous terrain. The town of Banepa is situated about 26 kilometers east of Kathmandu in Nepal. With the only highway connecting Nepal to Banepa running through the town, Banepa is considered to be a significant trade-route town. Additionally, the newly constructed B.P. Koirala Highway, which is named after Nepalese leader Bishweswor Prasad Koirala, passes through Banepa, enhancing the town’s strategic importance.
